Position Overview:

Insight Global is seeking a full-time 2nd Shift Supervisor (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM EST) to support one of our third-party logistics clients at a service parts distribution site for a major automotive company.

In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll be responsible for guiding a team to meet daily goals in productivity, quality, and safety—while ensuring smooth and timely operations. You’ll work closely with warehouse staff and drivers to ensure goods are safely moved to the docks and loaded for shipment. Each day, the site manages eight dedicated runs across three shifts, and you’ll play a key role in coordinating those efforts.

You’ll also be involved in recruiting, training, and developing team members, while fostering a positive and motivated work environment. This includes setting clear goals, maintaining open communication, and addressing performance issues when necessary to keep the team aligned with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coach warehouse staff to meet operational targets
• Oversee daily shipping and loading processes
• Communicate with drivers and complete shipping documentation
• Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members
• Promote a safe, respectful, and productive work environment
• Monitor team performance and provide feedback or corrective action as needed
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies
• Collaborate with other supervisors and departments to meet distribution goals

Qualifications:

• 2–3 years of supervisory experience in warehousing or 3PL
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer proficiency
• Hands-on experience with forklifts, packing, and measuring

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Progressive leadership experience
• Familiarity with ERP systems, Power BI, and warehouse software
• Knowledge of metals handling, staging, and shipping

Compensation:

$65,000 to $75,000 per year annual salary. [ If client has provided an exact salary, then no need to use a range; also, if the client has provided an hourly rate, then use same hourly language from the Contract/Contract-to-Hire section above. ]

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
