Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) – Urgent Care
Full-Time | Edmond OK

Salary $135,000 – $140,000 per year

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide high-quality urgent care services during evening and weekend shifts . This role offers the opportunity to apply your clinical expertise in diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of acute and urgent medical conditions in a fast-paced, supportive environment .

You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient outcomes and continuity of care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments to determine urgent care needs
  • Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, injuries, and infections
  • Perform minor procedures such as suturing, wound care, splinting, and minor surgical interventions
  • Prescribe medications and treatments based on evidence-based clinical guidelines
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., X-rays, laboratory tests)
  • Educate patients and families on medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Adhere to clinical protocols, best practices, and regulatory standards
  • Provide patient-centered care with empathy, professionalism, and compassion

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, or
    Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program
  • Active Oklahoma license and certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or a related field preferred
  • Skilled in performing urgent care procedures and managing acute medical conditions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-volume environment
  • Availability to work evening and weekend shifts as scheduled
