Trillium Construction is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Preconstruction Manager for a direct hire opportunity with a general contractor based in Tyler, TX.
The Preconstruction Manager will play a crucial role in leading the preconstruction department, ensuring all activities before construction begin are well-planned and cost-effective. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that projects are set up for success before construction starts, with a smooth coordination process throughout the preconstruction phase.
The Preconstruction Manager is responsible for overseeing all preconstruction activities, from reviewing proposals to coordinating with teams, and assisting with project schedules. This position ensures the proper planning, costing, and organization of projects prior to the start of construction.
Preconstruction Manager Responsibilities:
-Review all proposals before they are submitted.
-Work with proposal coordinators to ensure effective planning and submission of proposals.
-Collaborate with the preconstruction team on necessary presentations.
-Coordinate and attend all prebid meetings.
-Hold regular meetings with the preconstruction team, including the estimating department, proposal coordinator, and other key stakeholders.
-Report to upper management regularly regarding the status of open bids and proposals.
-Assist in creating and refining project schedules.
-Attend and coordinate prebid meetings.
-Estimate projects when assigned.
-Review all bids before they are submitted to ensure accuracy.
-Thoroughly review all plans and specifications being bid on.
-Communicate with subcontractors to procure subcontractor proposals.
Annual salary is $100,000 - $120,000 per year (based on experience). Benefits: Company-issued laptop.

Preconstruction Manager Requirements:
-7-10 years of estimating experience.
-5+ years of experience creating proposal packages, including creation, writing, and estimation.
-Must have worked with a general contractor or construction management firm with at least $100 million in revenue.
-Must have experience with various types of contracting, including CMAR, GMP, CSP, and Lump Sum.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office, Prezi, Canva, Adobe, Procore, Primavera.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
-Exceptional leadership and management skills.
-Effective communication and negotiation skills.
-Highly detail-oriented and persuasive.
