Job Title: Live-In Nanny for Children Ages 2-5 Years Old

Location: Greenwich, CT

Position Type: Full-time, Live-in

Job Overview: Lovely, busy Greenwich HNW Family requires hands-on support for all things child care related. The hours are 9-6 ( with flexibility some days for earlier / later. We will pay a generous annual salary DOE and provide an appropriate stipend for insurance. We are open to a variety of resume profiles; childcare professionals as well as recent graduates or former educators. The ideal candidate will be energetic, compassionate, and skilled in managing multiple tasks while creating a positive and stimulating environment for young children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Childcare:
  • Supervise and engage with the children throughout the day, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities such as arts and crafts, games, reading, and outdoor play to stimulate the children's cognitive, emotional, and physical development.
  • Assists with meal times, and any other daily routines.
  • Maintain a consistent and positive routine for the children, including nap times, bedtime routines, and meal times.
  • Provide comfort and emotional support as needed, helping the children navigate different moods and emotions.
  • Household/ Family Assistance:
  • Light housekeeping related to the children, including tidying up their play areas, laundry, and keeping their rooms organized.
  • Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children.
  • Run errands such as grocery shopping for child-related items and supplies.
  • Supervise & assist with activities
  • Schedule extracurricular activities
  • Drive children to appointments and activities with company car
  • Manage kids complex calendar and scheduled appointments as needed
  • Safety & Health:
  • Ensure the children’s health and safety by following hygiene practices, administering medication when needed, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Keep a watchful eye on the children when they are playing indoors and outdoors, ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Communication:
  • Maintain open and transparent communication with parents regarding the children's progress, behavior, and any concerns.
  • Provide occasional reports on developmental milestones, activities, and any important changes in the children's behavior.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a nanny, childcare worker, or similar role, with a focus on young children.
  • In-depth knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate activities for children ages 0-5.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • A genuine love for children and a passion for nurturing their growth and development.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with parents.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, multitask, and stay organized.
  • Comfortable living with the family in a live-in arrangement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with toddlers and preschool-aged children.
  • Additional training in early childhood education or a related field.
  • A flexible and positive attitude.
  • A valid driver’s license (optional, if driving the children is required).

Compensation:

  • Competitive salary (based on experience) $100-130k base salary plus Healthcare
  • Room and board provided (private living accommodations).
