Stryten Energy is part of a launch of a new company named Storion Energy. Storion is an innovative stored energy components and solutions provider focusing on LDES (Long Duration Energy Storage) flow batteries.

Storion's new production facility and operations lab is located north of Atlanta in Alpharetta, GA. This is a paid Co-Op position with the expectation students will rotate semesters between work and school. We are looking for Mechanical Engineering students for a Co-Op beginning summer of 2025.

You will be exposed to and gain knowledge in the following areas:

• Working on product development projects
• Hands on testing in the R&D Lab or shop area
• Data collection, processing, and analysis, and many more exciting and challenging experiences
• Assembly, testing, debugging, and documentation for mechanical fixtures and devices
• Experimental design (DOE)
• Root cause analysis
• Failure Mode Effects Analysis
• R&D processes
• Professional development
• Design for manufacture

Our students will already have:

• Excellent problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills while working with cross functional teams
• Strong analytical and practical understanding of mechanical design
• Ability to take a proactive hands-on approach to problem identification, prototyping, iterative design, validation testing, and troubleshooting

We are looking for students:

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Sophomore (fall 2024) or higher level standing with a GPA of at least 3.0
• You must have housing and transportation
• The position is required to work on-site daily in our Alpharetta office
