Fee Motion Litigation Attorney – High-Impact Role in Complex Cases | Los Angeles, CA

A growing litigation-focused firm is seeking a full-time Fee Motion Attorney with 4+ years of experience to join its Los Angeles office. This position is tailored for attorneys with a deep understanding of fee-shifting frameworks and the strategic acumen to draft, oppose, and argue attorneys’ fee motions in both federal and California courts.

The role offers hands-on courtroom experience, a steady volume of sophisticated work, and a collaborative, tech-forward culture that prioritizes attorney development and client advocacy.

This law firm has offices in Los Angeles. The firm was founded less than a decade ago. The attorneys here practice in areas of law such as Lemon Law for Vehicles, Defective Products, Personal Injury, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft comprehensive motions for attorneys’ fees under federal and California fee-shifting statutes

• Respond to oppositions with well-supported legal arguments and analytical rebuttals

• Present oral arguments on fee motions, including lodestar justifications and multiplier requests

• Interpret and apply relevant statutory provisions to support fee recovery strategies

• Collaborate with internal support teams to collect billing records and litigation documentation

• Independently manage a litigation caseload with attention to deadlines and procedural precision

• Participate in hearings and client discussions related to litigation and fee recovery

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of litigation experience, with a strong track record in fee motion work

• JD from an accredited law school

• Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar

• Deep knowledge of fee-shifting statutes and federal lodestar methodologies

• Strong writing, research, and oral advocacy skills

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a high-volume docket

• Collaborative mindset and professional courtroom presence

• Familiarity with modern legal technology and billing platforms
