Workers will perform winter-season agricultural support work on a grain farm. Duties include but are not limited to: Inspect, clean, and maintain farm equipment and machinery including tractors, planters, sprayers, and combines. Perform general mechanical servicing: checking fluids, lubricating moving parts, replacing filters, inspecting belts and hoses, and minor repairs. Clean and sanitize grain bins, augers, and surrounding storage areas to prepare for the next harvest season. Remove old grain and residue from storage units, check for pests or mold, and report issues. Assist with cleaning and organizing the farm shop and storage buildings. Prepare fields for spring planting by tilling, clearing debris, or applying soil treatments (weather permitting). Maintain farm infrastructure including fences, gates, and access roads. Perform general grounds maintenance such as snow clearing (only on farm property), weed control around bins and sheds, and pressure-washing equipment. Follow all farm safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Crops Associated with Work: Corn, Soybeans, Wheat (Note: While crops are not actively grown in winter, all duties are directly in support of these crops.) Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Employer shall Provide Necessary Training to worker. Workers Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employers' expense due to the liability of operating equipment. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Repetitive movements is required.
