Job title: Communications Specialist

Location: Moline, IL ( Hybrid work schedule: 4 days onsite/ 1 day remote each week. Fully remote candidates are not eligible for this role.)

Duration: 12+ months

Description:

Assists management with communication support in some or all of the following areas: provides counsel on identifying communication issues, develops and executes communication strategies, prepares speeches or business reports, researches and writes articles for publication, and edits content for publication to ensure accuracy and effective and appropriate communications at all levels of the Company. MAJOR DUTIES: Description of the major duties performed in this job.Provides communication support and consulting services to departments and units to support Company goals. Works with business contacts throughout the Company to identify communication needs, requirements and gaps. Researches and writes speeches for the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and corporate officers to assist them in conveying Corporate messages to employees and key public audiences. Researches and writes communications for publication to provide information helpful to the public and promote a positive Corporate image to the public. Researches and writes internal communications to aid in employee knowledge of, and alignment with Corporate goals and strategies. Edits all content for publication to ensure accuracy and effective and appropriate communications at all levels of the Company. Researches internal and external best practices related to our business needs

Position Description:

We are seeking a dynamic professional to join our employee communications team in the role of Communications Specialist. In this capacity, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Communications Lead in the management, coordination, and execution of a multitude of communications projects. You will help ensure the quality and consistency of our communications efforts, and provide limited creative support, inclusive of story/article writing and proofing. The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Communications project management; stakeholder engagement – this the main focus of this position. 60% of their time will be focused on communications project management.
• Writing; simple templated design support
• Quality assurance – proofing, fact-checking; stakeholder approvals
• Supporting local photo and video shoots
• Organizing shared digital creative assets
• Coordinate metrics scorecard assembly
• Keep team SharePoint sites organized and updated
• Other duties as assigned

Skill Set Requirements:

• Great verbal and written communication skills required
• Project management and organizational experience and skills required
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office tools
• Marketing Communications or Communications experience preferred

Education:

A degree in Communications, Marketing, or Business is required
