Position Summary

"The Alternative Investments Sr. Advisor will lead the distribution efforts in alternative investments for Santander Private Banking International and will become the main point of contact between the Alternative Investment’s team and the Commercial Area. The role requires expertise in several asset classes including private equity, venture capital, real estate, credit, real assets, hedge funds, and other alternative investments. The role is expected to aid in the growth of the alternative investment’s platform.

The Alternative Investments Sr. Advisor will report to the Sr. Director of Alternative Investments."

Position Duties / Responsibilities

Educate bankers, advisors, and clients in new and existing investment products.

Responsible for developing a distribution/sale strategy to expand the penetration of alternative investments for Santander Private Banking International.

Travel several regions of Latin America to raise assets for open funds in the platform.

Responsible for providing bankers with reports and presentations of existing portfolios of alternative investments.

Assist advisors and bankers with queries related to client portfolios.

Develop expertise in systems and tools used for investment analysis.

Responsible for constructing a pipeline of alternative investments products for SPBI's clients.

Develop marketing and educational materials related to alternative investments.

Support the due diligence team in investment manager research.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience

7-10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated required level of proficiency

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint is required.

• Superior organizational skills, integrity, and great follow-through on tasks.

• Innovative, creative, and constantly looking for ways to deliver.

CFA is a plus.

English and Spanish are required. Portuguese preferred.

Specialized Knowledge

• Possess expertise knowledge of alternative investments and a strong desire and motivation to learn.

• Comfortable presenting in group settings and lead presentations of different alternative investments strategies.

• Flexible and adaptable to change.

• Strong organizational and analytical skills, attention to detail and initiative to improve or design investment- related processes that are essential.

• Strong work-ethic and self-motivated and flexibility with a fast-paced environment.

• While taking appropriate initiative, the candidate will be able to handle multiple requests and prioritize effectively while maintaining a positive and flexible attitude.

• This positions requires to travel.
