With a team of certified professionals and a dedicated superintendent, we ensure seamless management of our clients' systems. We are currently seeking a motivated and licensed Water Treatment Operator to join our growing team and support our water treatment facilities.
Position Overview
As a full-time Water Treatment Operator, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and operating water treatment plants throughout the Greater Baltimore Area. This on-site position includes responsibilities such as monitoring daily operations, managing chemical treatment processes, and performing system maintenance. The role will primarily cover facilities in Cecil, Harford, Baltimore, Howard, and Anne Arundel Counties. Occasional office-based work may also be required.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of water treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Conduct chemical dosing, process control, and routine maintenance to optimize system performance.
Troubleshoot operational issues and implement effective solutions.
Collect and analyze water samples to monitor system effectiveness.
Coordinate with the team to address plant staffing and operational needs.
What We’re Looking For
Knowledge & Experience:
Practical understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes.
Familiarity with chemistry, biology, and environmental science principles.
Experience in water sample collection is a plus.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Qualifications:
Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) certification as a Water Treatment Plant Operator is highly desirable (not mandatory, based on previous exp).
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or Engineering preferred (not mandatory, based on previous experience).
