Position Summary & Objective

The Supervisor, Warehouse Operations directs the OpSec Distribution Center (ODC) team in areas concerning inventory movements, cycle-counting, restocking, loading/unloading of trucks, scrap cutting, and other warehouse tasks.

Essential Functions Performed by the Position

  • Manages employee schedules to ensure adequate coverage in all Warehouse and distribution needs.
  • Coordinates schedules for incoming and outgoing orders.
  • Optimizes inventory practices for efficient customer order fulfillment.
  • Ensures secure product is handled in alignment with company policies.
  • Improves practices for inventory control and organization.
  • Oversees secure destruction of obsolete materials.
  • Works with customer care team members to fulfill customer requests.
  • Maintains all warehouse equipment in good safe working conditions.
  • Assures safe practices are in place and utilized by employees performing the work.
  • Provides employee feedback and training as needed.
  • Schedules and negotiate shipping and freight contracts.
  • Troubleshoots shipping issues to resolve and prevent future occurrences.

Position Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to lead teams.
  • Must be able to use a computer to enter data accurately, check email, read spreadsheets/forms/training documents.

Experience:

  • 4 years of warehouse supervision experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Valid US driver license required for US employees.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain certified forklift training.

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluent in English.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to work within an MRP/ERP environment.
  • Ability to safely operate tow motor and other critical warehouse equipment.
  • Fluent use of computer software for documentation and communication (MS Office, Teams, etc.).
  • Must have the ability to multitask, be self-motivated and able to work autonomously as well as in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to accommodate ever-changing working environment and demands placed upon it.

Working Hours and Conditions:

  • Warehouse manufacturing environment.

Physical Characteristics and Demands

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25-50 lbs.

Travel Requirements:

  • Less than 10% local travel outside greater Lancaster area for US employees
