Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Manager to lead operations at our large-scale facility in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will oversee a dynamic team of warehouse staff, ensuring the seamless receipt, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of products while upholding the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires a strategic mindset, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

In this role you can expect to provide strong leadership and direction to warehouse staff, including supervisors, leads, and associates. The Warehouse manager will also foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement while setting clear performance expectations, providing feedback, and coaching team members to achieve individual and team goals.

Responsibilities:

Operations Management

  • Oversee all warehouse operations, in support of the receiving and shipping process.
  • Take ownership of all put-away, order picking, packing, and inventory control.
  • Develop and implement efficient workflows, processes, and procedures to optimize productivity and minimize errors.
  • Monitor operational metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Inventory Management
  • Ensure accurate and timely receipt, storage, and retrieval of inventory in accordance with established procedures.
  • Lead the communication of replenishment of inventory and connect needs to the procurement team.
  • Ensure that regular cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliation are performed to maintain inventory accuracy and integrity.
  • Coordinate with procurement and inventory control teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts.

Safety and Compliance

  • Uphold a culture of safety and compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Assess the skill set of new employees and coordinate the training and certification process for material handling and the operation of equipment. Keep records of all certifications and ensure employees adhere to training protocol on a timely basis.
  • Interview and review surveillance cameras to complete incident reports and root cause analysis in the event a job-related injury occurs. Communicate with the safety director about incidents that occur on premises.
  • Enforce safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and property damage.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, training sessions, and drills to promote a safe working environment.

Equipment and Facility Maintenance

  • Oversee maintenance and upkeep of warehouse equipment, machinery, and facilities. Ensure all operators complete a pre-inspection of all equipment daily and keep journals of all pre-inspections.
  • Schedule routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed to address maintenance issues and facility improvements; including, but not limited to, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and sanitation.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement lean principles, process improvements, and automation technologies to streamline workflows and reduce costs.
  • Solicit feedback from team members and stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.

Customer Service

  • Collaborate with customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment and resolution of customer inquiries or issues.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with customers to understand their needs and preferences and ensure a high level of service.
