Christensen Farms is one of the largest, family-owned pork producers in the United States, marketing approximately 3 million hogs per year. Headquartered in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, the company operates throughout the Midwest with facilities in Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Illinois and South Dakota. Christensen Farms owns four feed mills, manages 145,000 sows on 44 farms, and oversees more than 350 nurseries and grow-finish sites. The company employees nearly 1,000 people and maintains 1,500 contract partnerships.

Position Overview & Responsibilities:

This position will be responsible for leading operational excellence at multiple company trailer wash locations in four mid-western states. The Trailer Wash Operations Manager will provide leadership to location managers, and drive the effective management and execution for a team of approximately 35 individuals to support organizational needs focused on safety, capacity, quality and efficiency. This individual will be expected to develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders and seek out innovation to develop solutions to further the vision of the wash operations. A strong contribution to strategic and business planning will be expected of the individual in this role.

This position will be located in the Sleepy Eye office with fair travel requirements to meet objectives.

What You Will Do:

• Establish and maintain safety, bio-security, quality, and operational protocols and standards for the trailer wash department.
• Establish and implement strategies to develop trailer wash managers and staff to support career objectives and organizational leadership needs.
• Develop strong relationships with key department leaders to ensure collaborative working partnerships engaged in the timely identification and improvement of business issues.
• Develop and manage relationships with contract carriers, wash infrastructure maintenance and repair vendors, and commercial wash vendors to establish quality standards and maintain operations.
• Engage in development of business plans, budgets and strategic planning to support continuous improvement and the evolving needs of the organization.
• Seek out, research and implement technology and tools to drive continuous improvements in KPI's focused on safety, quality, cost, efficiency, and employee satisfaction.
• Establish relationships with industry peers to benchmark opportunities and maximize CF's competitiveness.
• Implement and uphold maintenance and repair schedules of all trailer wash facilities and equipment.
• Oversee data/reporting processes relative to trailer washes to ensure the needs of the business are fulfilled and monitored.

• Experience with budgeting, financial evaluation and control
• Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Relevant industry experience is a plus

Mid-Level Management: Non-Production Managers (Non-Dept Head)/Sow Service Managers:

• Implements departmental strategy;
• Suggests alternative strategies to achieve goals;
• Sets agenda for staff and delegate responsibilities to first-level managers and employees.

Supervision of Others:

• Direct Reports: Trailer Wash Managers
• Indirect Reports: Trailer Wash Leads, Trailer Wash Power Washers

Reports to:

Director of Transportation

Specialized or Motorized Equipment and/or Tools:

This position will require operating a company vehicle, or mileage reimbursement. Any employment offer for this position is contingent upon the review of your motor vehicle record (MVR). The MVR will be reviewed to determine insurability based on CFF's insurance carrier and company policy.

Vehicle Licensing Requirements: Class D

• The targeted base pay range for this role is: $90,000 to $120,000 with this range reflecting differences in candidate knowledge, skills, and experience
