As a System Safety Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of this cutting-edge technology, contributing to the development of aircraft that will transform the aviation industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of safety requirements and assessments for key vehicle systems such as Flight Controls and Powertrain systems.
• Participate in vehicle-level safety analyses and contribute to the definition of safety requirements at the vehicle level.
• Represent System Safety in cross-functional decision-making and regulatory compliance activities.
• Participate in regulatory compliance planning and testing, working closely with leadership and the Certification and Test organization.
• Develop and execute test plans in a simulation lab environment to ensure system integrity.
• Conduct Zonal Safety Inspections on the aircraft to maintain safety standards.

Technical Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a System Safety Engineer.
• Familiarity with systems used in civil aviation, particularly Flight Controls and Powertrain systems.
• Experience across all phases of aircraft development, from concept through to entry into service.
• Proficiency in conducting safety analyses and creating, validating, and verifying aircraft and system-level safety requirements.
• Experience taking responsibility for safety activities within civil aircraft certification programs.
• Experience developing and executing test plans in a simulation environment.
• A thorough understanding of civil aviation standards, regulations, and industry practices.

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience with CAD tools such as NX, Solidworks, or CATIA for conducting drawing and 3D model reviews.
• Experience performing physical aircraft installation examinations and inspections.
• Experience with type certification under 14 CFR Part 23 or Part 27.
• Familiarity with ARP4754A development programs.
• Background in Flight Controls or Powertrain systems (electric engines, high-voltage power systems) in the automotive or equivalent industries.
