Supply Chain Planner

Location: Baytown, TX

Pay Rate: $68K+ annually

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Job Type: DIRECT-HIRE

Our client is a chemical manufacturer of adhesives, foams, and related products. They are seeking a Supply Chain Planner to join their team located in BAYTOWN, TEXAS!

The ideal candidate will manage material planning, production scheduling, and inventory control to meet customer needs and operational targets. This role drives process improvements, monitors KPIs, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance service levels, productivity, and efficiency.

Develop and propose weekly production plans based on customer needs, market service levels, and operational efficiency targets.
Communicate the approved production plan to manufacturing, supervisors, and maintenance teams.
Ensure the availability of required resources (equipment, workforce, raw materials, and semi-finished products) to meet production targets while maintaining quality standards.
Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to incorporate planned maintenance schedules into production plans, minimizing cost and operational impact.
Monitor daily production performance against plans, analyze deviations, and propose adjustments to meet service levels and efficiency goals.
Manage stock levels and reorder points for raw materials and semi-finished products based on production needs, company guidelines, and process requirements.
Ensure accurate daily inventory data is recorded in QuickBooks, supported by the Manufacturing Manager.
Collaborate with the Procurement & Purchasing Manager and CEO to approve new suppliers and negotiate optimal terms for non-strategic materials.
Participate in weekly operational meetings to monitor and report on supply chain KPIs.

Requirements:

5+ years of manufacturing experience.
Excel experience – REQUIRED
