We are actively recruiting a Structures Representative to support major infrastructure projects at Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA). This is a full-time, on-site role requiring candidates to be located in Southern California. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, and possess a California Professional Engineer (PE) license. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction oversight and inspection, specifically as a Structure Representative on California highway projects, is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and prior experience with Caltrans are essential. City of Los Angeles experience is preferred.

Job Duties:

• Provide technical oversight and contract administration for structural elements, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction and quality assurance inspections for bridges and transportation structures.
• Document daily construction activities, prepare progress reports, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, schedule, and budget requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, surveyors, and materials testers to resolve field issues and meet project milestones.
• Review or prepare calculations for temporary structures (shoring, falsework) and existing structure demolition.
• Collaborate with public agencies, utilities, railroads, and environmental regulators to address project needs.
• Oversee roadway work, including JPCP, drainage systems, electrical modifications, and temporary traffic control.
• Implement habitat protection strategies (e.g., nesting bats/birds) to minimize construction impacts.
• Evaluate foundation construction (CIDH piles, spread footings, grade beams) and superstructure elements.

Salary Range: 160,000−200,000 / year
