Title: Senior Mold Tool Maintenance Technician

Location: Edinburgh, IN

Job Overview:

This position is responsible for the assembly, maintenance, and changeover of injection molds, as well as the fitting, setup, and startup of new injection molds and components.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems and perform repairs on mold tools.
• Fitting and assembly of new tools and inserts.
• Perform mold changes and maintenance; ensure mold tools are ready to meet production schedules.
• Recommend changes and enhancements to procedures and equipment to improve efficiency.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment.
• Mentor and train new hires.
• May perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Technical Skills:

• Comprehensive understanding and experience with mold tool construction and maintenance.
• Basic math skills, including knowledge of shop/mechanical mathematics.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and 3D models.
• Ability to comprehend and retain technical verbal and written instructions.

Requirements:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• 5-7 years of tool making, assembly, and fitting experience.
