Position Summary: Stage and relocate trailers in a safe efficient manner to avoid damage. Keep the yard organized and orderly. Maintain constant communication with Dock Operations and Dispatch. Being aware of all activity in the yard and reporting damage, problems or any suspicious circumstances.

HYBRID SPOTTER/ DOCK WORKER POSITION

MULTIPLE SHIFTS AVAILABLE

Duties and Responsibilities

• Spotting trailers to and from the platform.
• Maintaining drop areas of the yard.
• Performing yard checks.
• Sealing loads.
• Fueling.
• Control of all yard activity.
• Inspects equipment for suitability.
• Assist on the platform if needed.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Ensuring all doors are closed when spotted in the yard. If loaded trailer must be sealed prior to driver picking up the load.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of basic tractor functions.
• Knowledge of basic dock procedure.
• Ability to identify, report on recurring problems/safety issues.

Credentials and Experience

• 1-2 years spotting or driver experience
• HS Diploma
• Previous Spotter or Warehouse Experience
