Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Location: Vacaville Unified School District

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day, aligned with the bell schedule)

Caseload: 8 students

Number of LPCs: 1

Job Summary:

Vacaville Unified School District is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to provide specialized instruction and support for students with exceptional needs. The teacher will develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs), collaborate with staff and families, and create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' unique learning needs.
• Adapt and modify instructional materials to accommodate various learning styles.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success.
• Provide direct instruction and intervention strategies to support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and performance.
• Utilize evidence-based strategies and accommodations to support student learning and engagement.
• Supervise and collaborate with 1 Licensed Paraprofessional (LPC) in providing instructional support.
• Attend IEP meetings, professional development sessions, and staff meetings as required.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence and self-advocacy.
