Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Location: Auburn, WA

Job Type: Full-time

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team for SY 24-25. In this role, you will provide individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional success in a positive and inclusive environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To provide special education instruction and related services for students with disabilities at the student’s level to meet the student's unique educational needs and to allow the student to be involved in and progress through the general education curriculum.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet students' unique needs.
• Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed.
• Design, monitor, and implement, or supervise the implementation of instruction in areas of eligibility including accommodations and modifications necessary for access to general education.
• Deliver differentiated instruction aligned with state and district standards.
• Work cooperatively with general education and support staff members.
• Teach a class for students with varying disabilities

Qualifications:

• Valid State of Washington teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement
• Experience working with students with special needs is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
