Position Overview:

The High School Spanish Teacher will design engaging lessons that help students build language proficiency while exploring Hispanic culture, history, and traditions. This teacher will foster a classroom environment rooted in respect, collaboration, and high expectations , aligned with Peachtree Academy’s mission to develop leaders of character and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic Spanish I–III (or higher) instruction that develops listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
  • Create interactive classroom experiences that bring language and culture to life.
  • Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback for academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to enrich school-wide learning.
  • Participate in school events, clubs, and student activities that support a vibrant campus culture.
  • Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Valid Georgia teaching certification or eligibility preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Spanish (native or near-native fluency).
  • Experience teaching high school students in a college-preparatory setting is a plus.
  • Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-oriented mindset.

Duties

You would be teaching Spanish I, II, III and up.
Using conversational Spanish in the classroom
Planning some activities that would enhance the classroom experience - Latin museums, festivals, and activities

Requirements

College Degree and/or Teaching Certificate
Love for Spanish
Must be great at technology, customer service, and enjoy working with children.
