Responsibilities

Peraton is now hiring a Software Test Engineer to support Intelligence Community and DoD customers as part of a talented, high-performing team. As part of this team you will work with emerging service and distributed computing technologies for satellite situational awareness (SSA) data processing and distribution.

The Skyfire program, a next gen Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Indications and Warning (I&W) system, establishes a repository of resident space objects (RSOs), finds RSOs of interest, and provides data to ground operators. The Skyfire team uses: programmatics, sensor modeling, and system engineering expertise to deliver this world-class SDA I&W system.

What you'll do:

• Utilize experience in maintaining and enhancing test scripts and creating and executing test procedures to support development, integration, regression and user acceptance testing.
• Design and write test plans and procedures, analyze test results and develop and review code as necessary.
• Document bugs in Jira and provide test reports.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Associates degree with 7+ years of relevant experience; OR bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience; OR master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience. Additional four (4) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelors degree. 
• This position requires the candidate possess a minimum of Top Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI and pass a polygraph within 30 days of employment or at customers request- contract requires TS/SCI with poly. The candidate must maintain the clearance.
• Two (2) years experience with software testing
• Two (2) years experience creating test plans/procedures
• Two (2) years experience in an Agile software development environment

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience supporting customer-facing test events or requirement sell-off activities
• Experience working in a Linux based environment
• Experience working with an RDBMS (Postgres, MySQL, etc.)
• Experience creating or maintaining automated software testing scripts/tools (Selenium, Cypress, etc.)
• Experience working with Jira, Jenkins, Gitlab, Ansible
• Experience with Agile

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
