Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Manager (Contract)

Hourly Rate: $30-$35/hr

Location: Elk Grove Village, IL

Industry: Farm Goods (Onions)

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Manager to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will oversee all logistics operations related to the receipt, storage, and shipment of farm goods, specifically onions, ensuring the efficient movement of goods and maintaining high standards of inventory control.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily shipping and receiving operations for farm goods (onions).
• Coordinate the transportation and delivery of shipments in compliance with company standards.
• Supervise and train warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow and safety.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory and shipments, utilizing tracking systems.
• Collaborate with logistics partners, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely deliveries and shipments.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for quality control and accuracy.
• Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to shipments or deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics management, preferably in the agricultural or farm goods industry.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a team and coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.
• Knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.
• Familiarity with logistics software and tracking systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
