Position: Senior Network Engineer (Cisco & FortiGate Expertise)

Location:- 100% Remote (West Coast Preferred)

Long Term Contract

Senior Network Engineer with expertise in Cisco networking (CCNA/CCNP certifications preferred) and FortiGate solutions to manage, optimize, and provide strategic guidance for our network infrastructure. This role involves hands-on implementation, advisory responsibilities, and collaboration with international resources to ensure robust and efficient network operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Management & Troubleshooting:

1. Manage and optimize an existing network environment primarily built on Cisco equipment, with significant FortiGate components.
2. Troubleshoot, resolve, and enhance network performance issues to meet operational needs.

Strategic Advisory & Planning:

1. Review the current network configuration, identifying opportunities for improvement.
2. Provide recommendations for system enhancements and develop detailed implementation plans.

Collaboration & Coordination:

1. Work closely with US and French (IDL FR) resources to align on network strategies and ensure smooth implementation of projects.
2. Act as the primary technical resource in the US, ensuring seamless communication and coordination across teams.

Implementation & Execution:

1. Execute network upgrades and modifications based on approved plans, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
2. Maintain compliance with industry standards and best practices during all implementation activities.

Qualifications:

Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP); Fortinet certifications are highly desirable.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in network engineering with a strong focus on Cisco and FortiGate solutions.

Skills:

• Proficiency in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Cisco and FortiGate equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to network improvements.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional and international teams.

Preferred: Experience working in a global organization with cross-border coordination
