Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to join their team! This position is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Duties:

• Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and frameworks using Ansible and Terraform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement automation solutions that enhance infrastructure efficiency and reliability
• Manage and optimize existing IaC deployments, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and compliant with industry standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation scripts and infrastructure deployments
• Improve automation processes by integrating new tools and technologies
• Document automation processes, configurations, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in creating and managing IaC automations using Ansible and/or Terraform
• Experience building Windows servers
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with version control systems like Git
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Comfortable with existing on-prem solutions such as: SCCM, Nutanix, VMWare, PowerShell
• Strong proficiency with modernizing automated IaC solutions on-prem and cloud
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack

The approximate pay range for this position is between $52.00 and $75.00 . Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
