Job Description

The State of Michigan is seeking an SAP Business Analyst to support the Application Development Department by developing and modifying SAP Business Intelligence reports and Power BI dashboards. The ideal candidate will serve as a liaison between end-user departments and Programmer/Analysts , identifying data elements, developing requirements, test plans, documentation, and coordinating business solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify Business Intelligence (BI) and Power BI reports , ensuring data accuracy and validation.
  
• Understand Colleague and SAP BI data structures , including knowledge of how business processes impact data reporting.
  
• Support data element analysis for APIs and batch interfaces .
  
• Collaborate with end users to define business solutions, develop process flows, and create specifications and test plans.
  
• Troubleshoot technical and data issues related to business intelligence reports or interfaces .
  
• Participate in and lead technical projects using formal project management methodologies .
  
• Work with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  
• Create and update tickets in TeamDynamix , adhering to SLA and change management procedures .
  
• Stay up to date with technological advancements and recommend improvements.
  
• Ensure compliance with defined security policies and procedures .
  
• Communicate effectively with IT departments, end users, and external vendors .
  

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience .

Experience

• Minimum 9 years as a Business Analyst , specializing in data element analysis and BI reporting .
  
• At least 4 years of direct experience with SAP BI data structures and Ellucian Colleague table relationships .
  
• Proven ability to collaborate with end users , define business requirements , and deliver solutions on schedule .
