Job Description:

The State of Michigan is seeking a Senior SAP Business Analyst (Colleague / SAP BI) to support the Application Development Department. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SAP Business Intelligence, Power BI, and data analysis, as well as a strong understanding of Ellucian Colleague functionality. The candidate will serve as a liaison between end-user departments and technical teams, ensuring accurate and efficient business intelligence reporting and data solutions.

Responsibilities:

• SAP BI & Colleague Expertise – Deep understanding of Colleague and SAP BI data elements, including knowledge of how business processes impact data accuracy and timing.
  
• Report Development – Design, develop, and modify SAP Business Intelligence and Power BI reports, including data extracts and system interfaces.
  
• Data Analysis – Support Programmer/Analysts by performing data element analysis for APIs and batch interfaces.
  
• Business Requirements & Process Flows – Work with end users and technical teams to define business solutions, document requirements, and develop test plans.
  
• Troubleshooting & Support – Identify and resolve technical and data-related issues in BI reports and interfaces.
  
• Project Management – Participate in and lead technical projects using formal project management methodologies.
  
• Microsoft Suite Proficiency – Utilize advanced features of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  
• Ticket Management – Create and update service tickets in TeamDynamix, adhering to procedures for incidents, service requests, SLA compliance, and change management.
  
• Security & Compliance – Follow defined security policies and procedures while maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.
  
• Communication & Collaboration – Effectively communicate with end users, IT teams, and vendors to ensure smooth implementation of solutions.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
