Roofing Estimator
Fort Myers, FL
Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
Our ideal candidate can oversee multiple projects from all aspects: design, estimating, owner selections, and execution. Our team is dedicated to approaching each project individually and ensuring the best customer experience with transparency, excellence, and integrity at the core.
This is not the typical sales/project manager/estimator position. We specialize in high-end, custom roof systems, which normally have complicated roofs with valleys, flat sections, and multi-story components. This position will take an aerial view roof report and create an estimate that details the labor and material needed to complete the job. It may also require looking at builder plans, checking elevations, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform detailed estimates for residential projects (shingle, tile & metal)
Analyze requirement documents, blueprints, and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project
Determine what factors of production will influence the cost
Maintain current market pricing for materials in the estimating system
Generate job cost reports
Develop and maintain relationships with company vendors and contractors
Perform hand-off meetings with assigned project managers
Present prepared estimates to management
Requirements:
Associate degree in Construction or similar field, preferred
Familiarity with The Edge estimating software, a plus
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize workflow
Familiarity with analyzing requirement data to develop material and cost estimates for residential projects
Ability to read and interpret technical documents
Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
