Position Overview

To greet our guests as they arrive into the bar with hospitality and to properly make and serve drinks for our guests and servers.

Essential Functions:

• Works in the bar greeting guests as they arrive; thanks guests for their business as they depart.
• Makes alcoholic drinks for servers and guests accurately and quickly during meal periods.
• Orders and serves food and beverages accurately using point of sale system.
• Keeps accurate record of sales, cash, and non-cash receipts.
• Keeps bar neat, clean, well-stocked, and organized.
• Follows recipes to ensure quality product and service.
• Responsible for knowing health and safety standards and applying them.
• Learns food, liquor beer, and wine menu, and answers guests' questions appropriately.
• Other duties as assigned.

Other:

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meeting is required.

Upon employment, all employees are required to full comply with Regency Hotel Management rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the hotel's facilities. Employees who violate hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Qualifications:

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills and abilities

Education: High school education or equivalent required. Some college preferred.

Experience: One year prior serving or bartending experience preferred.

• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary languages used in the workplace.
• Must have good judgement and integrity when making decisions regarding alcohol sales.
• Must know and understand proper and legal alcohol serving requirements.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with employees and customers.
• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage menus and food presentation.
• Must be able to act independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate customer needs and resolve complaints independently.
• Must be able to operate computer and point of sale system.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Must be able to stand and walk for several hours at a time.
• Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
