REMOTE General Liability Associate Attorney

My client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Attorney with at least 2 years of experience to join their growing team in the White Plains or New York City office. This position will focus on defending complex tort matters, including general tort liability/premises liability and transportation (trucking, motor vehicle accident). The candidate should have experience preparing pleadings and motions, conducting and defending depositions, and attending/handling Court Conferences.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all phases of complex civil litigation with a focus on general liability, premises liability, and auto/transportation liability, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of these areas to develop effective, strategic solutions.
• Collaborate with attorneys, team members, and seasoned Partners on high-impact legal projects, contributing to a collaborative, results-driven environment.
• Regularly conduct and defend depositions , handle court appearances, and engage in motion practice, ensuring thorough case preparation and strong representation of clients
• Lead all aspects of case management , including discovery, legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, and formulating strategies for trial.
• Maintain proactive communication with clients , providing clear, concise, and timely updates on case progress, while delivering strategic guidance.
• Work closely with senior attorneys to refine trial strategies and support in the preparation and presentation of complex litigation matters.

Required Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from am ABA-accredited Law School.
• Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar, demonstrating compliance with state licensing requirements. Minimum of five years of hands-on litigation experience, with a focus on premises and general liability, showcasing a proven track record in complex legal matters.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills , enabling effective advocacy and client interaction.
• Experience in handling trucking-related litigation matters is highly preferred, indicating specialized knowledge in transportation law.
• Strong deposition experience , including witness preparation and examination, is essential for thorough case development.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software , demonstrating technical adeptness to enhance case efficiency and effectiveness.

Pay Range: $155,000-200,000 USD
