Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preoperative preparations, including verifying patient information, creating a surgical plan, and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Provide direct patient care during surgical procedures, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure proper sterile techniques are followed and maintain a sterile environment in the operating room.
  • Assist with postoperative care, including monitoring patients' recovery, providing pain management, and ensuring a smooth transition to the recovery room or post-anesthesia care unit.
  • Document all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance surgical nursing skills.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Valid and active Registered Nurse license in the state
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Circulating Nurse in an operating room setting
  • Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work well within a multidisciplinary team
  • Current CPR certification
