Job Summary: The Radiation Therapist delivers prescribed radiation treatments to patients under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist. This role focuses on accurate treatment setup, dose delivery, patient safety, and adherence to radiation therapy protocols.



Responsibilities

• Accurately set up patients and administer therapeutic radiation treatments per physician prescription.
• Verify treatment parameters, localize treatment areas, and obtain port images for physician review.
• Perform daily equipment quality assurance and safety checks.
• Maintain precise treatment records and complete chart checks.
• Observe patients during treatment and report clinical changes or adverse reactions.
• Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, immobilization devices, and supplies.
• Assist with student instruction and support departmental workflow as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in therapeutic radiation therapy
• Experience with Varian TrueBeam technology
• Experience using MOSAIQ EMR

Education: Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiation Therapy Required
