Job Objective
This organized, compassionate, and motivated person will assist staff in quickly transitioning families from homelessness to permanent self-sufficiency. The organized, efficient, flexible person in this position will support the leadership of Family Promise. This position will primarily support the office staff with general office duties, support the case manager for intake, and other staff as needed. Additionally, this person will support facility and volunteer organization.
Responsibilities:
· Perform administrative and office support activities. Duties may include assisting with meeting schedules and phone inquiries, receiving and directing appointments, creating spreadsheets and presentations, data tracking, staff reporting coordination, and program report coordination.
· General office duties may include managing calendars, meeting and event arrangements,
organize and schedule appointments.
· Assist in facility management, including bill pay and organizing facility maintenance
· Process housing referrals by reviewing paperwork for completion and accuracy.
· Ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of Day Center and family support staff.
· Act as the point of contact for outside organizations, partners, and visitors.
· Work with other agencies to deliver resources, referrals and workshops as needed related to employment, financial literacy and budgeting, housing plans, and educational planning.
· Learn how to serve as an advocate for families with community service agencies.
· Provide crisis support to families and volunteers as needed.
· Additional duties as needed to support agency (ie: Fundraising events, client basic needs
support, donor engagement)
· Assist Director of Development with preparation for upcoming events and public appearances.
· Provide marketing and media support as assigned by Director of Development.

· Requires flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination experience, and the
ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, outside clients, vendors, and other community partners.
· Sensitivity to confidential matters and ability to maintain confidentiality of all materials.
· Extensive software skills, internet research abilities, and strong communication skills.
· Strong time management and task prioritization ability along with extensive problem-solving skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects at once with no degradation in quality.
· Must be able to work independently, as well as effectively within a team.
· Must be able to work well with colleagues, board members, and volunteers to promote a collaborative and supportive culture.
Salary and Benefits
· This position has a starting pay of $18.50-$20/hour, DOE.
· Position is on-site, 36/hour per week. 8:30am-4:30pm M-Th, 8:30a-12p on Fridays
· Occasional evening or weekend commitment to support fundraisers and events is required.

Work Environment & Managing Success:
· Program Assistant will report to the Case Manager.
· Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds is necessary.
· Family Promise is comprised of a small staff and a large pool of volunteers.
· Must be comfortable working around animals.
