Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Production Coordinator to oversee and coordinate all aspects of our decorated apparel production process. This role is responsible for managing in-house and outsourced production, purchasing blanks, maintaining daily production reports, and ensuring that all orders are completed on time while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Production Management:

  • Oversee and manage the entire production process, ensuring timely and efficient workflow.
  • Coordinate production schedules for in-house and outsourced orders, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Monitor and enforce quality control standards for all decorated apparel.
  • Work closely with screen printing, embroidery, heat press, and other decoration teams to optimize efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production-related issues as they arise.

Blank Purchasing & Inventory Management:

  • Source and purchase blank apparel from vendors based on order requirements and stock levels.
  • Maintain relationships with blank suppliers to ensure best pricing and availability.
  • Manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.

Production Coordination & Reporting:

  • Maintain and update daily production reports to track order progress, bottlenecks, and completion rates.
  • Communicate production schedules and updates with sales, customer service, and fulfillment teams.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of production metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Outsourced Production Management:

  • Manage relationships with contract decorators, ensuring outsourced orders are completed on time and meet quality standards.
  • Coordinate shipping and logistics for outsourced production orders.
  • Monitor and evaluate outsourced vendors for efficiency and quality performance.

Process Improvement:

  • Implement and improve production processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in production management, preferably in decorated apparel or a related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of screen printing, embroidery, heat transfer, and other apparel decoration techniques.
  • Experience with purchasing and inventory management for apparel.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in production management software, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
