Job Title: Plant Operator I/II/III – Contract Position

Job Description:

We are looking for an Oilfield Operations Specialist with 2-5 years of oilfield experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with high-pressure systems, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and oilfield safety practices. The role will require technical knowledge of gas compression, dehydration, and amine treating systems, as well as a solid understanding of documentation and regulatory compliance. Position is a 7-on, 7-off shiftwork schedule, with 12 hour shifts.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate and monitor high-pressure gas processing equipment, including amine treating and dehydration equipment.
2. Ensure compliance with lockout/tagout (LOTO) safety protocols and operational procedures.
3. Assist with troubleshooting and maintenance of gas compression, dehydration, and amine treating systems.
4. Participate in process hazard analysis (PHA) for the plant as required.
5. Review and update operating procedures to meet OSHA and industry standards.
6. Write and/or review new operating procedures as needed.
7. Manage MOC (Management of Change) documentation as required
8. Verify P&IDs and other technical documents up to date and accurate.
9. Oversee parts, inventory, and consumables.
10. Train to become a Senior Technician while assisting with senior tech responsibilities.
11. Gain proficiency in high-level troubleshooting of plant and compressor station equipment.
12. Track and analyze chemical usage to optimize plant operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience in gas compression, dehydration, and amine treating systems.
2. Familiarity with PSM gas processing plants and/or compressor stations
3. Strong understanding of oilfield safety practices and high-pressure equipment operations.
4. Experience in creating, reviewing, and updating operating procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
5. Ability to troubleshoot complex systems in plant and compressor station environments.

Education & Experience:

1. 2-5 years of experience in oilfield operations.
2. Experience in a PSM plant, compressor station, or gas processing plant is preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

1. Proficient in Excel for data analysis, including chemical usage tracking.
2. Advanced troubleshooting skills in plant and compressor station equipment.
3. Familiar with high-level P&ID verification and other technical documentation.
4. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
