Physical Therapist - Full-Time

Location: Grantsville, WV, 26147

Minnie Hamilton Health System, an award-winning rural hospital, clinic, dental, and long-term care facility located in central West Virginia, is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist for our busy Grantsville location. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients in both a hospital setting and a long-term care center, helping them achieve optimal physical function and improve their quality of life. We have the nicest patients and the sweetest residents at our long-term facility (really, we do!).

We appreciate our traveling contractors, but this time, we're looking for someone who wants to stay and grow with us—a Keeper!

Our Physical Therapy department is already great, but we're renovating our entire hospital, and the PT Center will soon be brand new with a new location and new equipment!

Responsibilities:

• Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions, including strength, mobility, and functional capabilities.
• Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments, medical history, and goals.
• Therapeutic Interventions: Implement a variety of therapeutic techniques, including exercises, manual therapy, and use of specialized equipment to improve patient mobility and reduce pain. ​
• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, exercises, and strategies for managing physical limitations.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.​
• Compliance: Ensure all treatments and interventions comply with hospital and long-term care center policies, as well as state and federal regulations.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.

• Licensure: Current West Virginia license as a Physical Therapist.

• Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.

• Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, proficiency in therapeutic techniques and equipment.
