• Per manager: just CA state pharmacy technician licensure is required. The national certificate, PTCB can be left as a preferred but not required certificate.

Qualification

Duties :

• As a Pharmacy Technician in a growing segment of healthcare, specialty pharmacy, you will work with specialized and complex therapies that are delivered to patients.

Key responsibilities

• Communication with patients, prescribers, and colleagues. Frequent phone conversations, emails, faxes. Fulfillment of prescriptions, packaging medications for shipment, processing copays, researching financial assistance.
• Complete order entry and refills under the supervision of the pharmacist.
• Inventory management and storage, complete appropriate documentation, such as labels, log sheets and reports.
• Participate in on call rotation as indicated by staffing and business needs. Per manager: just CA state pharmacy technician licensure is required. The national certificate, PTCB can be left as a preferred but not required certificate.
• Basic computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet utilization.
• Excellent customer service skills (written and verbal) a must. Specialty Pharmacy experience is a plus.

Experience :

• Retail, specialty pharmacy experience, mail order pharmacy
• At least 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician
• Basic computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet utilization
• Excellent customer service skills (written and verbal) a must.
• Specialty Pharmacy experience is a plus.

Education :

• Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.

What days & hours will the person work in this position? List training hours, if different. : Monday through Friday, 9:30AM-6PM
