Job Title: Payroll Specialist

Key Responsibilities
· Process multi-state (including California) payroll for both exempt and non-exempt employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
· Review and verify payroll data, including hours worked, taxes, benefits, and other deductions.
· Maintain and update employee records for new hires, changes, and terminations.
· Manage and maintain FEIN information for multiple entities, ensuring proper setup and compliance.
· Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
· Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and communicate resolutions promptly.
· Assist with payroll reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
· Support internal stakeholders by providing clear, timely responses to payroll-related inquiries.
· Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to system efficiency.
Qualifications
·2+ years of payroll experience, ideally in a multi-state environment.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and UKG payroll systems.
· Excellent communication and time management skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused, fast-paced setting.
