Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Parts Delivery Drivers:

• Deliver Parts: Deliver parts to technicians promptly and efficiently.
• Stock Maintenance: Ensure areas of the parts department are adequately stocked and organized.
• Vehicle Assistance: Move vehicles within the service department as needed and deliver cars to other repair facilities for sublet repairs.
• Guest Transport: Provide transportation for guests to and from the dealership when vehicles are brought in for service.
• Parts Delivery: Pick up and/or deliver parts to designated accounts as instructed by the parts or service departments.
• Bank Deposits: Make bank deposits each afternoon reliably.
• Mail Delivery: Deliver mail to the post office each evening.
• Title Verification and Supplies: Check with the office daily to verify if titles need to be taken to the courthouse or if office supplies need to be picked up.
• Department Cleanliness: Ensure the cleanliness of the parts department by disposing of used boxes and trash, sweeping floors, and dusting parts bins daily.
• Core Shipment: Crate all cores for shipment back to the manufacturer when a part has been replaced.
• Detail Assistance: Assist the detail department in washing cars when shorthanded.
• Vehicle Pushing: Help push cars into the shop when they cannot be started.
• Additional Tasks: Perform other tasks as assigned.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Previous experience in a parts or service department is preferred but optional.

Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and carry heavy parts (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks such as pushing vehicles.

Time Management: Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Communication: Strong verbal communication skills to interact effectively with technicians, service advisors, and guests.

Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in parts delivery, stocking, and department cleanliness.

Reliability: Dependable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.

Customer Service: Friendly and professional when interacting with guests and providing transportation services.

Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently.

Team Player: Willingness to assist other departments and work collaboratively.

Flexibility: Adaptable to changing priorities and tasks as assigned.

Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to maintain the orderliness of the parts department.

Technical Skills: Basic computer skills to check inventory and process deliveries.
