Painter

Pay: $22-27/hr + 15% shift differential for 2nd shift

Shifts:

• 1st - Mon-Fri (7am to 3:30pm)
• 2nd - Mon-Thu (3:30pm to 2am)

Position Summary:

• We are seeking a skilled Industrial Spray Painter to prepare and apply coatings to metal surfaces using spray equipment. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed.
• Mix and apply primers, paints, and other coatings using spray guns or other equipment.
• Inspect finished work for quality, uniform coverage, and adherence to specifications.
• Maintain spray equipment, tools, and work area in proper working condition.
• Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ventilation systems.
• Read and interpret job orders, blueprints, and specifications to determine painting requirements.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience spray painting metal surfaces (industrial, automotive, or fabrication setting is ideal).
• Knowledge of paint mixing, thinning, and application techniques.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in standing positions for extended periods.

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing or fabrication shop setting.
• Exposure to paint fumes, dust, and noise (PPE provided).
