Job Title: Paediatric Cardiac Sonographer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Paediatric Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at a leading children's hospital in the Texas Medical Center. This role offers the opportunity to work with a highly skilled medical team, utilizing cutting-edge technology to provide the best possible care for pediatric patients with complex cardiac conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform echocardiographic examinations on pediatric congenital patients, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient comfort.
• Work closely with pediatric cardiologists, intensivists, and other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Conduct various echocardiogram modalities, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
• Provide preliminary findings to cardiologists and maintain accurate medical records.
• Assist in training and mentoring new sonographers, contributing to their professional growth.
• Travel to outpatient clinics as needed (up to 20% of the time).
• Participate in quality assurance, equipment maintenance, and continuous professional development activities.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited sonography program.
• Must hold one of the following certifications: Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS), Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), or RDCS Pediatric Echocardiography (PE).
• Experience or post-graduate training specifically in pediatric echocardiography is required.
• Basic or Advanced Life Support (BLS/ACLS) certification preferred.

Work Schedule:

• Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM.
• On-call responsibilities as per department standards.
