International is looking for a hands-on, technically skilled Operations Group Lead to join our Research & Development team in Fairbanks, Alaska. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge commercial vehicle testing in a dynamic, year-round environment.
In this role, you’ll lead day-to-day shop operations, maintain and repair Class 4–8 trucks and trailers, and collaborate closely with engineering teams to support vehicle testing in extreme weather conditions. You’ll also be responsible for diagnostics, inspections, and ensuring project timelines are met.

We’re seeking someone with either an associate’s degree and 6+ years of technical truck/automotive experience, or 8+ years of experience without a degree. Ideal candidates will bring fleet experience (Class 6 & 8), diesel powertrain knowledge, and a strong mechanical aptitude. A CDL and familiarity with DOT/FMCSA regulations are a plus.
