JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Actively manage enterprise computer systems and networks, analyzing technical issues, and developing and implementing corrective actions
• Observe and interpret visual outputs indicating the operating status of systems and network components for designated computer network infrastructure
• Translate user requests into technical diagnoses, then apply diagnoses to develop technical solutions to meet user needs
• Develop strategies to migrate existing customers to new architecture/technology with minimal impact
• Evaluate new technologies or equipment that can be added to Agency standard solutions

• Relevant experience must be in computer or information systems design/development, programming, information/cyber/network security, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, computer forensics, information assurance and/or systems engineering. Additionally, must have experience in network or system administration
• Strong Linux experience
• Experience in systems/network administration, application administration, and/or information technology support or management
• Experience supporting hardware installation, such as servers and network infrastructure
• Experience setting up storage such as network‐attached storage
• Experience implementing security best practices to include PKI certificate generation, deployment and maintenance
• Knowledge of Unix shell scripting languages like Bash, Bourne, or C
• Experience deploying and maintaining nginx
• Familiarity with Docker and RedHat Satellite
• Familiarity with cloud computing environments like AWS
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) products like Terraform, SALT and Ansible as well as system monitoring platforms like Prometheus and Grafana
• Experience with SELinux and FIPS

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree plus 8-years of relevant experience,or Master's degree plus 6-years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 10-years of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED plus 12-years of relevant experience may be considered
• Degree must be in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
