Job Description

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Accounting, Information Technology, Business, Risk Mgmt., or related field; advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MSc) or certifications are advantageous
• Experience in a G-SIB or large financial institution preferred due to unique regulatory, operational and financial risks such institutions face
• 3- 5 Years experience in an operational risk management reporting and analytics function (e.g., within Risk and/or Audit function) including issue management, event management, and Risk and Control Self-Assessment.
• Experience in using Tableau, Power BI, SQL, and other reporting tools.
• Knowledge of OCC Heightened Standards, Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) 239, and other regulatory changes and industry best practices, leading regulatory engagement and providing oversight of processes to monitor, evaluate and integrate regulatory changes into operational risk framework and trainings
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to analyze data, identify trends, and evaluate risk scenarios effectively
• Excellent qualitative analytical skills
• Project management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact and obtain buy-in from senior BU/tech counterparts
• Experience in process governance, with a track record of establishing and overseeing robust decision-making processes that align with policies, regulatory frameworks, and/or operational standards

Responsibilities:

• Work with business partners across ORM to create ad-hoc analytics to identify trends/themes, perform root cause analysis, and credibly challenge first line of defense execution against ORM frameworks
• Collaborate with leadership to develop reporting and analytics strategy in support of the ORM mission and vision.
• Establish processes to validate data accuracy and completeness, implementing quality checks and addressing inconsistencies in reports and analyses.
• Collaborate with Product, Technology, and Data Governance teams to ensure seamless integration of data from multiple sources, enabling comprehensive risk analytics and consistent reporting
• Conduct scenario analyses and stress testing to evaluate potential operational risk impacts under various conditions, aligning results with the enterprise’s risk appetite
• Tailor reports and analytics to the specific needs of various audiences, such as senior leadership, regulatory bodies, and business unit leaders, ensuring relevance and clarity
• Develop and monitor key risk indicators (KRIs), key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational risk metrics to assess risk exposure
• Regularly monitor the execution of controls within business processes and conduct reviews of the control inventory to ensure they are effective and aligned with risk appetite
• Perform, through reporting and analytics, regular evaluations of the risk governance framework’s effectiveness, identifying improvement opportunities and overseeing the implementation of enhancements
• Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices, and lead regulatory engagement, and provide oversight of processes to monitor, evaluate and integrate regulatory changes into OR framework & trainings
• Facilitate the development of a strong risk culture throughout the enterprise, emphasizing risk awareness, accountability, and informed risk-taking within the bounds of the risk appetite
• Manage ORM-related internal communications for enterprise and any ORM reporting change activities

Compensation : $69-73/hr
