Job Title: Occupational Therapist - School-Based

Location: Marysville, WA

Contract Duration: 12 Months (24-25 school year)

Hours/Shift: 8 am - 4 pm, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week, 30-minute unpaid lunch)

Onsite Requirement: 100% Onsite (not hybrid/remote)

Job Description/Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement occupational therapy programs that help students develop motor, perceptual, and self-help skills, meeting individual needs, interests, and abilities.
• Collaborate in the development and implementation of the district's instructional program related to occupational therapy.
• Guide the learning process to achieve Individual Educational Program (IEP) goals.
• Manage therapy programs that reflect the students’ needs, ensuring progress tracking and documentation.
• Regularly assess students' therapeutic progress and participate in IEP meetings when requested.
• Prescribe effective programs or initiate referrals to appropriate personnel, providing progress reports as needed.
• Maintain communication with students, parents, and staff about occupational therapy programs and progress.
• Request and manage instructional materials and equipment as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Valid Washington Occupational Therapist, K-12 License.
• Valid Washington State Board License in Occupational Therapy.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
• Must be comfortable working with elementary school students.

Preferred:

• Open to new graduates or new teachers.
