Job Description

A leading academic medical center in Northern New Jersey is currently seeking a licensed Physician Assistant (PA) to join their Neurosurgery team across two major sites. This is a flexible, full-time locum opportunity offering a mix of inpatient and outpatient care.

About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 8am to 4:30pm
• Setting: 50% inpatient, 50% outpatient

Responsibilities:

• Providing clinical support in both inpatient and outpatient neurosurgical settings
• Conducting pre- and post-operative assessments
• Assisting with inpatient neurosurgical procedures
• Collaborating with Neurosurgeons and Clinical teams across both campuses
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and managing follow-up care plans
• Performing other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of Physician Assistant experience, preferably in Neurosurgery or a surgical specialty
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program
• Current NJ Physician Assistant (PA) license
• Active and up-to-date CDS and DEA
• NPI number required
• Prior experience in a Trauma-level Hospital
• Strong EMR and clinical documentation skills
• Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
• Ability to travel between two hospital locations (within proximity)

Desired Skills:

• Neurosurgical experience
• Experience with Inpatient procedures
• Flexibility to adjust to changing needs and call schedules
• Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration
