Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist II - Generalist to join our laboratory team. This role is responsible for performing routine and specialized laboratory tests to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. The ideal candidate will utilize advanced laboratory instruments, equipment, and computer systems while exercising independent judgment within established testing methods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests with accuracy and efficiency.
• Evaluate and report patient results while ensuring compliance with laboratory protocols.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, and computer systems.
• Conduct quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures, methodologies, and instrumentation.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives, safety programs, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Train and mentor new employees and students in laboratory procedures and best practices.
• Serve as a resource for less experienced staff, providing technical guidance as needed.
• Maintain laboratory supplies and ensure proper inventory levels.
• Adhere to all laboratory safety guidelines, protocols, and regulatory standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Licensure & Certification:

• Preferred: Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or the National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel (NCA).

Education:

• Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
• Or Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from a NAACLS-accredited program recognized by the ASCP Board as qualifying for MLT certification.
• Or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with certification/licensure within 6 months of hire.

Experience:

• Preferred: At least 2 years of experience in clinical laboratory testing, including moderate and high complexity testing.

Compensation & Schedule:

• Salary: $28 - $36 per hour (based on experience).
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (9 PM - 9 AM or 7 PM - 7 AM).
