Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking a Mechanical Engineer V to perform designs and other engineering tasks across various projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage small- to medium-sized projects from inception to closeout, including scope, fee, and schedule development.
  • Perform complex engineering assignments requiring independent judgment and broad application of engineering principles.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to resolve conflicts and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Prepare project-specific reports, specifications, plans, cost estimates, and construction schedules.
  • Conduct site visits for progress reviews and construction administration tasks such as shop drawing review, RFIs, and status reporting.
  • Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace Load 700, and energy modeling software for project execution.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and mentor junior engineers, designers, and drafters.
  • Ensure quality control by reviewing and checking designs and specifications.
  • Assist in preparing design budgets, marketing proposals, and cost estimates.
  • Maintain client communication and foster professional relationships.
  • Contribute to forecasting workload and resources for projects and department needs.
  • Manage project budgets and ensure timely completion while maintaining quality and profitability.
  • Represent the company professionally and actively participate in trade organizations.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of six years of experience in mechanical engineering.

Certifications and Licenses:

  • Must have passed the NCEES exam and hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have vision abilities including close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
