Job Description

MOD is looking for a Marketing Professional!

MOD, a leader in power and lighting components for furniture in the workplace, hospitality and educational industries is seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join our Marketing team. This candidate will manage all aspects of marketing from participating in industry trades shows, to mass marketing (digital and print), social media and sales support for manufacturers, dealers and designers in the commercial and contract furniture industry. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong desire to learn about all MOD products and services, as well as be willing to assist in developing new business opportunities within their assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to find answers about consumer requirements, habits and trends
  • Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns
  • Support sales by developing and distributing marketing materials to sales team and customers
  • Help identify and develop new potential customers
  • Assist in outbound or inbound marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas (content development and optimization, advertising, events planning etc.)
  • Liaise with external vendors and sales representatives to execute promotional events and campaigns
  • Collaborate with marketing and other professionals to coordinate brand awareness and marketing efforts
  • Plan and execute initiatives to reach the target audience through appropriate channels (social media, e-mail, etc.)
  • Assist in analyzing marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies
  • Undertake individual tasks of a marketing plan as assigned as well as initiative to define undiscovered needs from a marketing perspective
  • Meet project deadlines for producing marketing materials, project information, and reports
  • Participate in exhibiting at tradeshows and help design exhibit space

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience as marketing specialist in B2B, preferably in the commercial and contract furniture industry
  • Highly experienced, creative, self-motivated and organized marketing professional
  • Thorough understanding of marketing elements
  • Understand best practices for SEO (currently using Yoast SEO)
  • Social media - Instagram/Pinterest/LinkedIn/Facebook/Twitter (ideally YouTube Shorts as well, or at least comfortable managing video content)
  • Design – Adobe Creative Suite & Canva
  • Demonstrated capability creating digital assets for any of the following; email marketing, tradeshow events, brochures/company literature, and social media
  • Solid computer skills, including MS Office and similar marketing software:
  • CRM – HubSpot and Constant Contact
  • Paid media – Meta Ads/Google Search/Shopping Ads
  • Certifications preferred but not required
  • Demonstrable experience in marketing data analytics and tools
  • Reporting – Interpret and take action on email marketing reports for Constant Contact or similar Email (Marketing) Service Providers and web data from either HubSpot reports or Google Analytics
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, WooCommerce, and web development tools preferred, basic understanding of web formatting/design required
  • Web Tools – WordPress + plug-ins
  • Ecommerce - WooCommerce
  • Comfortability talking directly with customers
  • Create and participate in presentations for customers and sales representatives for new products or promotions
  • Tradeshow events where our company will be exhibiting including officials of tradeshow events for upcoming or future events, sales representatives and customers
  • Well-organized and detail oriented
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills
  • Copy/writing skills – blog articles/industry insights for website, email marketing, website pages, social media, and brochures
  • Commercial awareness partnered with a creative mind
  • BS/BA in marketing, communications or equivalent preferred
