Job Description

Compensation: $50/hr to $57/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

One of Insight Global's large aerospace clients is looking to hire Manufacturing Engineers to join the team in San Antonio, TX. This position requires an individual to work fully onsite.

Position Responsibilities:

-Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies.

-Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.

-Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build.

-Leads and implements manufacturing plans.

-Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.

-Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices.

- Analyze design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.

Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule.

Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.

Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems.

Implements lean principles and technologies.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• 5+ years of related engineering experience with a bachelors OR 3+ years of work-related experience with a Masters
• Experience supporting defense and/or aerospace customers
• Advanced knowledge of design concepts and techniques (e.g., concurrent engineering, Design for Manufacture/Assembly [DFM/A]).
• Knowledge of computer aided design tools and systems (e.g., computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), computer aided three dimensional interactive (CATIA), Mentor Graphics, Unigraphics). Able to manipulate data sets, (e.g., compare CATIA to measurement data, create stereo lithography files).
• Knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities (e.g., composites, structures), and data needed for defining delivery configurations (e.g., design definition, program directives, engineering drawings, change memos, wiring diagrams and schematics, functional tests, supplier data).
• Ability to differentiate production(manufacturing) processes and requirements from in-service procedures and requirements.
